The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas asserted on Friday: “The crimes of the fascist occupation in Tel Al-Hawa and the execution of the elderly and children in their homes are horrific violations and despicable behaviour that require urgent international accountability.”
The movement added in a statement: “The atrocities revealed after the retreat of the terrorist occupation army from the Tel Al-Hawa neighbourhood southwest of Gaza City, after days of raids, amid violent bombardment and targeting of all aspects of life, are war crimes, genocide and ethnic cleansing.”
Hamas noted: “The occupation army set fire to residential buildings before leaving Tel Al-Hawa and prevented civil defence from accessing buildings that were burned with all of their residents in them and to recover the bodies of entire families who were martyred in Tel Al-Hawa as a result of the Israeli bombing. All of this confirms that the occupation army committed brutal massacres and devastating atrocities.”

The movement stressed: “The shocking scenes of the cold-blooded execution of elderly Palestinians inside their homes, including three elderly women from the Ghalayini family, in addition to the execution of unarmed civilians, including children, are crimes that violate all human values, and confirm the despicable and cowardly behaviour of this fascist army and its criminal leaders who kill children, women and the elderly.”
“These heinous crimes require the United Nations (UN), the international community and its institutions, most notably the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, to take urgent measures to stop the war of genocide waged by the occupation against our people, who are suffering endless violations of all values, customs, laws and international treaties, without the Zionist terrorist government facing any real deterrence,” it added.
Since 7 October, the Israeli occupation army has continued its aggression against the Gaza Strip, killing 38,345 martyrs and injuring 88,295 others. The attacks have also led to the displacement of about 1.9 million people from the Strip, according to UN data.
