Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad said that the supply of medical supplies and medicine is sufficient for a period ranging between three to four months if a war breaks out.
Speaking to Al-Hadath yesterday, Abiad said Israel has used internationally prohibited weapons in its attacks on Lebanon, such as white phosphorus, noting that the ministry has been on high alert since the beginning of the escalation.
Already, he continued, some 100,000 people have been displaced as a result of the Israeli aggression with the number set to rise if the attacks expand.
He noted that the ministry has carried out emergency exercises in all hospitals to prepare medical personnel to deal with any Israeli aggression and the influx of wounded civilians as a result.
