Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent trip to the United States to address Congress cost more than half a million dollars, Israeli websites revealed yesterday.

Netanyahu travelled aboard the Wing Zion aircraft at a cost of $520,000 (approximately two million shekels).

His previous visit to Florida to meet with former President Donald Trump cost $73,000, around 300,000 shekels, Channel 7 reported.

Wing Zion costs 47 million shekels to maintain every five years, Ministry of Defence representative Tami Rudich said.

Netanyahu’s trip, however, cost half the price it would have cost if he’d have travelled by national carrier El Al, which had quoted $980,000 for the journey.
