The Israeli army killed 22 more Palestinians in attacks in the Gaza Strip, taking the overall death toll to 39,699 since 7 October 2023, the Ministry of Health said today.
A ministry statement added that some 91,722 Palestinians have been injured in that period.
“Israeli forces killed 22 people and injured 77 others in four massacres against families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry said.
“Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
Over the last ten months, Israel has devastated Gaza and left vast tracts of the enclave in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
