Anti-army Jews arrested and beaten by Israeli police

The arrest of a 'mentally disabled' Orthodox Jewish man in Jerusalem capped off a week of Israeli police violence against the Orthodox community. Hundreds of Orthodox Jews protested at Israeli army recruitment centres and military bases last week after Israeli courts ruled that the government can force members of this ultra-religious community to join Israeli occupation forces fighting in Gaza.
