At least nine people were killed in a major Israeli offensive in Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian health authorities said today.
The Israeli occupation army said it was preparing a statement, having earlier released the names of the five Palestinians it killed on Monday in the West Bank’s Nur Shams refugee camp.
Israel has increased its violent raids of the occupied West Bank since it launched its war on Gaza in October last year, razing neighbourhoods and destroying vital infrastructure, while Jewish settlers have increased their brazen vigilante-style attacks on Palestinian communities under the watchful eye of Israeli forces.
Islamic Jihad said Israel was trying to expand the conflict from Gaza to the West Bank.
Quds Press has reported that Israeli occupation forces closed all the entrances to the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, blocking access of patients and wounded into and out of the hospital today, while others have been razing roads in the city.
