Manchester City Football Club’s right-back Joao Cancelo joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal FC on Wednesday on a three-year contract, Anadolu has reported.
The signing ceremony took place at the Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris, in the presence of the Al-Hilal’s chairman, announced the Saudi club. The financial details of the transfer were not disclosed.
Cancelo, 30, has played for top European clubs, including Benfica, Valencia and Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Bayern Munich. The Portugal international helped Manchester City lift the 2023 UEFA Champions League title and three English Premier League titles. He also helped the Portugal national team to win the 2019 UEFA Nations League.
