Al Jazeera reported yesterday that the Israeli occupation army is carrying out bulldozing operations and destroying infrastructure within the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank.
The network added that Israeli occupation forces have deployed reinforcements to the eastern neighbourhood of Jenin.
A young Palestinian man was injured and subsequently arrested following a raid on his home in the town of Burqin, west of Jenin.
Early on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army launched a wide-ranging military operation in the Tulkarm, Jenin and Tubas governorates in the northern West Bank. The operation, the most extensive since 2002, has resulted in the deaths of 17 Palestinians and the injury of dozens of others, in addition to the destruction of several homes and infrastructure.
The occupation army has escalated its assaults on the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since it launched its brutal war on Gaza in October last year. Some 670 Palestinians have been killed as a result of the raid on the West Bank, including 150 children, and 5,400 others have been injured. Over 10,000 Palestinians have been arrested during that period.
