Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan Al-Muraikhi, yesterday received a copy of the credentials of the new Palestinian Ambassador to Doha, Fayz Majed Abu Al-Rab.
According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Muraikhi wished the ambassador “success in carrying out his duties, assuring him of providing all support to advance bilateral relations to closer cooperation in various fields.”
The Palestinian issue has taken centre stage after Israel launched what has been described as a genocidal war on Gaza in October last year. Qatar has played a significant role in efforts to halt the continuous Israeli aggression on the Strip and is currently working with international and regional partners to get the parties involved to agree to a ceasefire
The sustained Israeli assault has killed almost 41,000 Palestinians and injured 94,224 others, with over 10,000 reported missing, presumed dead under the rubble.
