Three Israelis were killed in a shooting at the Allenby Bridge, also known as the King Hussein Bridge which links Jordan and the occupied West Bank today. The attacker, identified as a Jordanian truck driver, opened fire at the crossing’s Israeli employees before being shot dead by occupation forces.
The Israeli military confirmed the assailant had arrived in a truck from Jordan and began firing with a handgun at close range near a commercial cargo area. Medics from the Magen David Adom ambulance service attempted to resuscitate the three, said to be all in their 50s, at the scene but later confirmed their deaths.

According to Jordan’s Petra News Agency, the Karamah Crossing, situated east of Jericho, has been shut in both directions. Citing a Jordanian official, Reuters reports that Jordan is investigating the shooting.
This attack, the first of its kind at the Jordan border since 7 October, occurs amid heightened tensions following Israel’s largest military operation against the West Bank since the Second Intifada. The violence has claimed the lives of 662 Palestinians in the West Bank, while 23 Israelis have died in Palestinian resistance operations during this period.
