Yemen’s Houthis are ready to send thousands of fighters to support Lebanon’s Hezbollah group if a war breaks out with Israel, a group leader said yesterday.
Remarking on Israel’s threats to expand confrontation on its northern front with Lebanon, deputy head of the Houthis’ media authority, Nasr Al-Din Amer, said: “We are confident in Hezbollah’s ability to strike the Israeli occupation with a decisive blow, and we will be by their side in any confrontation.”
“We are ready to send hundreds of thousands of trained fighters if needed, and we will support them in the same way we support the resistance in Palestine,” he added.
He pointed out that the group’s missile that hit Tel Aviv on Sunday and other strikes are not isolated incidents or is response to Israel’s bombing of the port of Hudaydah, but rather part of ongoing operations until the aggression on Gaza stops.
