Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights says that it holds Israel responsible for the death of Dr Ziad Al-Dalou from the Gaza Strip, and has called for an investigation into the circumstances of his death while detained by the occupation state.
The centre said on Wednesday that the latest death of a Palestinian while in Israeli custody has happened even as the occupation authorities’ brutal treatment of detainees continues to ramp up. According to information gathered by the centre and statements from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr Al-Dalou had been detained by the occupation state since 18 March, and no cause of death has been revealed.
The human rights group demanded that an inquiry be established in order to ascertain the facts behind the doctor’s death. It also called upon the international community to fulfil its moral and legal obligations with regard to the ongoing genocide being committed in the Gaza Strip.
