Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has claimed that Iran and its people will be free “a lot sooner than people think”, amid Israeli forces’ radical escalation of conflicts in the region in recent days.
In a video message published on Monday and delivered in English, Netanyahu directly addressed the people of Iran, telling them that with “every passing moment, the regime is bringing you – the noble Persian people – closer to the abyss”.

Claiming that the “vast majority of Iranians know their regime doesn’t care a whit about them”, the Israeli Premier said that if it did truly care, then “it would stop wasting billions of dollars on futile wars across the Middle East. It would start improving your lives. Imagine if all the vast money the regime wasted on nuclear weapons and foreign wars were invested in your children’s education, in improving your healthcare, in building your nation’s infrastructure – water, sewage, all the other things that you need. Imagine that”.
He further declared that “When Iran is finally free – and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think – everything will be different. Our two ancient peoples, the Jewish people and the Persian people, will finally be at peace. Our two countries, Israel and Iran, will be at peace.”
Although he did not elaborate on the specifics of how Iran would be ‘freed’, when, and in what fashion, the Israeli Premier’s remark that it would come at a time in the very near future has led some to believe that Tel Aviv is already drawing up plans for a cataclysmic event to take place that would topple the current power in Tehran, particularly at a time when the Iranian government is reeling from a series of crises that have exposed significant gaps in the country’s security and intelligence apparatus.
“When that day comes, the terror network that the regime built on five continents will be bankrupt, dismantled”, Netanyahu stated. “Iran will thrive as never before. Global investment. Massive tourism. Brilliant technological innovation based on the tremendous talent that exists inside Iran. Doesn’t that sound better than endless poverty, repression and war?”
