Two hospitals in Beirut’s southern suburb are out of service after being damaged by Israeli air strikes on Sunday night, a medical source said yesterday.

Lebanese media reported that the two hospitals are Saint Thérèse Hospital and Al-Rassoul Al-Aazam Hospital, one of the largest in Beirut.

The source added that the hospitals sustained significant damage as a result of the Israeli air strikes on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital on Sunday night.

On 23 September, Israel launched its biggest bombing campaign on Lebanon in almost 20 years, displacing 1.2 million civilians while destroying large areas of southern Lebanon and southern boroughs of the capital.
