There are no positive signs that an end to Israel’s “war of genocide” on the Palestinians will end soon, Palestinian Presidential Adviser, Dr Mahmoud Al-Habbash, told a local television station yesterday.

The Israeli occupation government, he explained, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, considers the war an end and not a means, and is building all of its strategies on the basis of its continuation.

“There is no reason to be optimistic about an imminent end to the Israeli aggression,” he said, “none of the indicators after a year of the Israeli war of genocide call for optimism.”

Al-Habbash added that Israel is implementing a strategy that was prepared in advance in American decision-making circles that aims to keep the Arab region under pressure and tension, explaining that Netanyahu used the events of 7 October as an opportunity to implement this strategy.

He accused the US administration of providing all the means for the continuation of the war, pointing out that it prevented the Security Council from issuing a resolution to stop the aggression three times, and provided Israel with all the military and logistical support it needed, as well as political and legal cover to continue its aggression. All of this is occurring in light of Arab, Islamic and international positions that have not yet risen to the required level to stop the aggression.
