The number of journalists killed as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to 177, with the recent assassination of journalist Ayman Mohammad Ruwaished, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza.

Ruwaished was a photojournalist working for Al-Aqsa TV and he was killed yesterday.

The Government Media Office strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists.

It called on the international community, as well as relevant international organisations and bodies working in the field of journalism worldwide, to hold the occupation accountable in international courts for its ongoing crimes, and to exert pressure to stop the genocide and the killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists.
