Morocco has signed two military and technical cooperation agreements with Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic during the 7th International Aerospace and Space Exhibition in Marrakech, which kicked off on Wednesday. The agreements cover training, defence industry, technical support, military health, and cybersecurity.
The signing ceremony was attended by Morocco’s Minister Delegate for National Defence, Abdeltif Loudyi, Commander of the Southern Zone Mohammed Berrid, Czech Defence Minister Jana Cernochova, and Azerbaijani Defence Minister General Zakir Hasanov.

“Morocco is a key Maghreb country that is a guarantor of the region’s stability and is very interested in the development of our mutual relations,” Cernochova said on X. She added that she “discussed defence and industrial cooperation, opportunities for our arms industry, and the security situation in the region and in the world.”
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense stated that the meeting between Hasanov and his Moroccan counterpart “discussed prospects for the progress of military, military-technical relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco” with both sides holding discussions on other issues of mutual interest as well.
According to a press release issued by the Kingdom, both Czech and Azerbaijani ministers praised Rabat’s economic and social development, noting Morocco’s role as “a dynamic player and a haven of stability and peace for its Euro-Mediterranean and African neighborhood.”
