The Palestinian Journalists Forum yesterday condemned a visit made by Moroccan journalists to Israel on Monday and called for the participants to be penalised.
In a statement, the Palestinian Journalists Forum said it “firmly condemns the visit of the Moroccan delegation and urges that its members be penalised by being excluded from the professional union and the General Union of Arab Journalists.”
“The Forum expresses outrage over this delegation’s visit to the Zionist entity, which has committed genocidal crimes against civilians and Palestinian journalists for over a year. This action disregards the positions expressed by the General Union of Arab Journalists and Arab Press Syndicates, which reject normalisation,” the statement continued.
It added that by participating in this visit, “the members of the delegation tarnish their reputation and betray the memory of more than 183 Palestinian journalists who have been deliberately killed by the Zionist entity.”
The Moroccan journalists arrived in Israel on Monday evening to take part in an official trip that will last several days, organised by the Israel Liaison Office in Rabat.
The trip includes field visits to the Karm Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing with Gaza as well as the Ra’im site, in a show of solidarity and alignment with the Israeli narrative at the expense of the Palestinian one.
