Israeli occupation forces today demolished a house in the east Jerusalem town of Silwan, under the pretext that it was built without the necessary licence, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.
According to a Palestinian official source in the holy city, a number of bulldozers escorted by Israeli municipal workers and police officers stormed Silwan and knocked down the house of Naim Al-Ruwaidi.
The demolished house also included the headquarters of Al-Bustan Cultural Centre and the tent that was used by local residents to stage sit-ins in protest against the demolition policy pursued by the Israeli occupation state against their homes.
Since 7 October 2023, the Israeli municipality has demolished about 360 homes and structures in Occupied Jerusalem.
Also today, in northern Hebron, the Israeli occupation army demolished a house and a water pool used for agricultural purposes in Beit Ummar town.
