Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinian shepherds, while Israeli occupation forces (IOF), offered protection to another group of settlers who prevented the farmers from reaching their lands in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh said a group of settlers from the illegal Havat Ma’on settlement chased the shepherds in Al-Tuba hamlet in Masafer Yatta, and prevented them from reaching their farmlands.

Israeli occupation forces also protected settlers as they prevented Palestinian farmers from ploughing their land near Susya in Masafer Yatta.

According to UN OCHA, Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians that resulted in casualties or property damage at least tripled during the 2024 olive harvest season compared to each of the preceding three years.
