Protesters interrupt Erdogan to oppose trade with Israel

9 protesters were detained at the TRT World Forum on Friday after they interrupted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech and called for all trade with Israel to be stopped. 'Ships are carrying bombs to Gaza,' they said, adding that Turkish waterways are being used for the transport of such weapons. The protesters are now facing charges of 'insulting the president.' In response, Erdogan said the protesters were acting as 'mouthpieces for the Zionists.'
