Hamas yesterday condemned the Israeli aggression in Syria and the occupation’s incursion into the southern region of the country.
“We condemn the Zionist aggression in Syria, the occupation army’s incursion into southern Syria, and its barbaric bombing of public facilities and properties,” Hamas said, according to Al Jazeera.
“The Zionist enemy continues to commit its crimes against the region’s peoples to subjugate them and impose its occupational agenda.”
Since Sunday, Israel has carried out its most intense air operation on Syria and expanded its occupation of Syrian land, including of the strategic Mount Hermon.

Israeli occupation forces conducted nearly 300 air raids on Syria within 48 hours, targeting military sites across the country and significantly weakening the Syrian Air Force, according to the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
On the ground, Israeli tanks advanced past Quneitra into Damascus’s countryside yesterday, positioning just three kilometres from Qatna and 20 kilometres from the capital.
