Syrian media reported powerful explosions in western rural Damascus, amid claims that Israeli occupation forces have taken control of Al-Mantara Dam.
Sources added that the Israeli raid targeted the headquarters of the 90th Brigade in Sa’sa, in rural Damascus.
The 90th Brigade, north of Quneitra, is one of the Syrian army’s key armoured units.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces have taken control of Al-Mantara Dam in the rural area of Quneitra, within the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
Israeli soldiers advanced into the area, establishing military bases at several points and placed earth heaps to create barriers. They also restricted movement into and out of the region.
Al-Mantara Dam is the primary water source for Quneitra and its surrounding countryside, extending to Daraa Governorate. It is considered one of southern Syria’s largest and most significant dams.
