Scores of Tunisians gathered in front of the US Embassy in Tunis yesterday to protest against Israel’s genocide in Gaza and to reject American support for it, Anadolu reported.

Protesters were responding to a call from the “Tunisian Network to Resist Normalisation with Israel” – a coalition of Tunisian associations and public figures. They held banners with slogans such as: “Gaza, the symbol of pride,” “Blood for blood, fire for fire, the Zionist must fall,” and “One resistance front.”

Speaking at the protest, Salah Al-Masri, a member of the network, stated: “This protest is part of our demand to expel the US ambassador from Tunisia and to denounce Washington’s continued support for Israel.”

“We must expand protests in support of Gaza and the resistance forces, criminalise all forms of normalisation and activate the weapon of boycotts,” Al-Masri added.

He called for “an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and condemnation of the US involvement in this aggression, which threatens not only Gaza but the entire Arab and Islamic world.”
