Yemen’s Houthi group announced yesterday that it had targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the northern Red Sea and carried out attacks on central and southern Israel in four operations using missiles and drones.

The announcement was made in a televised statement delivered by the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, according to Anadolu.

The statement claimed that the group’s forces “carried out a significant operation targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman with two cruise missiles and four drones in the northern Red Sea while the American forces were preparing to launch a major air strike against our country.”

It added that earlier in the day, two military operations were conducted. The first targeted an Israeli military facility in occupied Jaffa-Tel Aviv using two drones, while the second hit a strategic site in Ashkelon with a drone.

The spokesperson further noted that a third operation was carried out yesterday evening targeting another Israeli military facility in Jaffa with a drone. According to the statement, all operations successfully achieved their objectives.
