5 children among victims of Israel’s attacks on Gaza ‘safe zone’

Five Palestinian children were killed yesterday in Israeli air strikes on tents sheltering displaced people in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis, a desolate coastal area in southern Gaza designated a “humanitarian safe zone” by the Israeli occupation military, Anadolu reported.

A medical source told the news wire that ten others, most of them children, were injured in the Israeli air strikes, while eyewitnesses said that an Israeli drone launched the indiscriminate attack.

Locals used animal-drawn carts to transport the victims to Nasser Medical Hospital west of Khan Yunis.

Despite designating Al-Mawasi as “safe”, the Israeli occupation army often attacks the area, causing horrific massacres that have killed and wounded hundreds of civilians including children and women.
