The United Arab Emirates has designated 11 individuals and eight UK-based entities on its “terrorist” list for alleged affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood, which it believes is a terrorist organisation, the UAE state news agency WAM reported on Wednesday.
According to the agency, the decision made under Resolution No. (1) of 2025 was issued by the UAE Cabinet, which approved the inclusion of the individuals and entities in accordance with the laws and regulations of the UAE.
WAM added that the move is part of the UAE’s “ongoing efforts, both locally and internationally, to target and dismantle networks linked to the financing of terrorism and related activities, both directly and indirectly.”
The named individuals include Ilham UAE citizens Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hashimi; Jasem Rashid Khalfan Rashid Al-Shamsi; Khaled Obaid Yousuf Buatabh Al-Zaabi; and Humaid Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Jarman Al-Nuaimi.
