The Israeli occupation authorities issued 400 deportation orders for Palestinians in Jerusalem in 2024, a new report revealed.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Centre said the decisions included 38 deportation orders from the city of Jerusalem, 197 deportations from the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, 87 from the Old City of Jerusalem, and ten who were prevented entry to the occupied West Bank.
The deportation periods extend from several days to several months, and are automatically renewed upon their expiration.
The decisions to banish people from Al-Aqsa Mosque mainly target Muslim worshippers, guards and mosque employees with the aim of dissuading them from their role of protecting and securing the Muslim holy site.
