Jordan FM urges Israel to abide by ceasefire deal with Lebanon

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi yesterday called on Israel to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement signed with Lebanon and to cease its violations of Lebanese sovereignty, QNA reported.

In remarks following his meeting with Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s support for Lebanon, its security, and the sovereignty of its territory. He described the current phase as a starting point for Lebanon to overcome its challenges and move towards a better future for its people.

During the meeting, Berri and Safadi discussed developments in Lebanon and the region and bilateral relations between the two countries.
