The Houthis announced yesterday that the US conducted five air raids targeting the Amran Governorate in northern Yemen.
The group’s Al-Masirah channel provided no further details about the losses or damages resulting from the attacks.
Since November 2023, the group has been targeting Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea using missiles and drones. They also attack targets in Israel in solidarity with Gaza which is facing a genocide at the hands of the occupation state of Israel.
Since the beginning of 2024, Washington and London have been launching attacks on sites they say belong to the Houthis in Yemen, in support of Israel. The group responded by targeting American and British ships in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.

UN OCHA in Yemen reported that “The United Nations and partners launched today the 2025 Yemen Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, seeking $2.47 billion to provide urgent humanitarian and protection assistance to millions of people in need.”
It added that “A decade of crisis has profoundly impacted Yemeni communities, who continue to bear the brunt,” noting that “More than half of the country’s population 19.5 million people needs humanitarian assistance and protection services, with Yemen’s most vulnerable and marginalised groups, including women and girls, at highest risk.”
