The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad said today it “strongly condemns” remarks made by US President Donald Trump, in which he called for the displacement of Gaza’s residents to Egypt and Jordan.
“This proposal reflects a continuation of the colonial agenda aimed at eradicating the Palestinian cause and forcibly uprooting its people,” the body said, adding that “these remarks are yet another desperate attempt to break the will of the Palestinian people.”
On Saturday, Trump said proposed relocating Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan, adding that he raised the matter during a telephone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and he might talk with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi about it.

However, the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad said: “This morning’s awe-inspiring return of Palestinian masses to northern Gaza stands as a bold challenge to the occupation and all plans of forced displacement, reaffirming their commitment to their land and their right to remain on it, no matter the sacrifices.
“The call to displace Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem constitutes an additional crime in a long list of international violations.”
