An Israeli occupation soldier was killed and five others were wounded during the army’s aggression against Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation army announced late yesterday.

According to Army Radio, Staff Sgt. Liam Hazi, 20, of the Kfir Brigade’s Haruv Reconnaissance Battalion, was killed and five troops were wounded during an exchange of fire with two gunmen in a building in the Jenin Refugee Camp.

The gunmen fled following the incident, it added.

Israel has been carrying out a military offensive on Palestinians and their properties in Jenin and its camp for the tenth consecutive day, killing at least 17 Palestinians and injuring many more. Occupation forces have also caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including by dredging the roads leading to the main hospitals.

Around 2,000 Palestinian families were displaced from the camp by the second day of the assault.
