Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported on Friday that the Haifa District Attorney’s Office in northern Israel charged two reserve soldiers with transferring sensitive information and spying for Iran.
The newspaper disclosed that one of the reserve soldiers in the Israeli army, Yuri Elisfov, transferred sensitive and important information to Iran related to the Iron Dome system during the war on Gaza.
The newspaper stated that the second soldier, Georgi Andrayev, who worked at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, also transferred important information to Iran.
According to Haaretz, the two men were: “Charged with aggravated espionage, aiding an enemy in wartime, providing classified intelligence to the enemy and being in contact with a foreign agent.”

It pointed out that the two soldiers graffitied phrases, such as “Children of Allah’s spirit”, in public areas and photographed them in exchange for money.
“Elisfov took pictures and a video of an Iron Dome radar screen during his reserve service. The screen showed data about the system’s location and other secret information,” according to Haaretz, noting that Elisfov took pictures and footage of an Iron Dome radar screen during his reserve service. The screen showed data about the system’s location and other secret information.
The Israeli police and Shin Bet security service have not yet commented on the matter.
Israel and Iran consider one another their primary enemy and have been exchanging accusations for years for being responsible for acts of sabotage, assassinations and cyber-attacks committed by either side.
