Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, cancelled a scheduled visit to the besieged Gaza Strip after US President Donald Trump proposed to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza into “neighbouring countries”.

Kurilla’s visit to the devastated enclave would have been the first by a senior American officer since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza on 7 October 2023.

The CENTCOM commander arrived in Israel last week and met with Israeli occupation army officials at their headquarters in Tel Aviv and visited the US THAAD air defence battery installed in Israel, the Army Radio reported yesterday.
