The Israeli government has informed the High Court of Justice that it opposes the disclosure of the full ceasefire agreement signed with Hamas, according to Haaretz.

The announcement came in response to a petition filed by Democracy Watch, which demanded that the agreement be disclosed.

Israel said the disclosure of the details of the agreement “could harm the implementation of the outline and thus the state’s foreign relations and security.”

However Democracy Watch said “this is a baseless argument, the enemy knows all the details. The agreement is being concealed for political reasons.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday threatened to end the Gaza ceasefire deal if Hamas failed to release captives by Saturday noon.

This came after the Palestinian faction announced on Monday that it would delay the release of Israeli captives scheduled for this weekend following Israel’s failure to uphold its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, which include the shooting of civilians and denying access to relief materials, including tents and caravans for displaced civilians in Gaza.
