Israel continues to block entry of portable homes to Gaza
A large convoy of humanitarian aid trucks carrying portable housing units and heavy machinery remains stuck at the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing, awaiting entry into Gaza as Israel continues to breach the ceasefire agreement, blocking the entry of the essential shelters. The ceasefire agreement has been in place since 19 January 2025 and outlined the delivery of essential supplies: 200,000 tents (only 10% have been delivered), 50 daily fuel trucks (30% allowed), 60,000 mobile homes (0% delivered), and 12,000 aid trucks (71% delivered). The continued blockade leaves thousands of displaced Palestinians without adequate shelter, fuel and aid, deepening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
