Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shibani said on Monday that President Ahmed Al-Sharaa held a “constructive meeting” with US President Donald Trump, during which both sides reaffirmed their support for Syria’s unity and reconstruction.
In a post on the US social media platform X, Al-Shibani stated that after months of intensive preparations, President Ahmed Al-Sharaa held a “constructive meeting” with US President Donald Trump, during which “the Syrian issue in all its aspects” was covered.
He added that the talks reaffirmed support for Syria’s unity, reconstruction, and the removal of obstacles to its recovery.
“The Syrian people always deserve a better future,” he concluded.
