Palestinian ministry: Israel killed 33,000 women and children in two years

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday that 33,000 women and children were killed in the Palestinian territories over the past two years as a result of Israeli violence, describing these actions as among “the most severe forms of discrimination and persecution” against women in the modern world.

The ministry published its statement to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, observed each year on 25 November.

Over the past two years, Israel initiated a genocide in Gaza that ended with a ceasefire in October 2025. During the same period, Israel intensified its aggression in the occupied West Bank, causing the martyrdom of tens of thousands of Palestinians.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel killed more than 12,500 women and over 20,000 children during the two-year war on the territory, bringing the total number of deaths to more than 69,000 people.
