The Israeli military announced it carried out a strike in Gaza City, stating it targeted a “key” Hamas member involved in what it described as efforts to rebuild the group’s capabilities. The announcement was made via Telegram without further detail.
Shortly after, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle at the Nabulsi Junction in western Gaza City, resulting in an unspecified number of casualties. Ambulance and rescue teams responded to the scene to evacuate the wounded to nearby hospitals.
Hamas has not issued an immediate comment on the incidents.
This strike occurs despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect in October. Critics note that Israel’s continued daily military operations in Gaza represent a clear violation of the truce.
