Royal Dutch Airlines KLM said on Wednesday that it has cancelled its flights to Israel until further notice because of the current security situation.
In a statement, the airline, part of the Air France-KLM Group, said that, “We have decided not to resume our flights to Tel Aviv for the time being.”
“We are already operating flights again to other destinations in the region, such as Riyadh and Dammam. For Dubai, we expect to restart operations from Friday, January 30,” KLM said.
The airline added: “We continue to monitor the situation closely,” and said that once it is safe and responsible to do so, it will restore service again.
Last week, the Lufthansa Group announced a partial suspension of its flights to Israel until 31st January. This means that night flights scheduled during this period will not operate as planned. The Lufthansa Group includes Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
