The UN Human Rights Office has warned that settler violence, supported by Israel, is undermining the Palestinian presence in strategic locations across the occupied West Bank.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the office said settlers carried out 10 serious attacks in the West Bank between Friday and Sunday, according to the Safa news agency.

The UN office stressed that the forced transfer of Palestinians within the West Bank constitutes a war crime and may also amount to a crime against humanity.

It added that Israel must end its illegal presence in the Palestinian territories and halt settlement expansion.
