The Resistance Security in the Gaza Strip, known as Rade’, said that two ambushes against groups cooperating with Israel resulted in deaths and injuries in Khan Younis and Gaza City.
According to the source, an armed clash took place in Khan Younis, forcing members of the groups to withdraw and leave behind weapons and military equipment. Another ambush was carried out in Gaza City, leading to the seizure of military equipment held by the targeted cell.
In a statement, Rade said it would continue to pursue and dismantle these groups across different areas. It added that field efforts are ongoing despite difficult conditions, and praised public unity and society’s rejection of any cooperation that harms national security.
Earlier reports said that Israel is providing support to four militias that are fighting Hamas in the Gaza Strip. These militias are said to be working under a joint project aimed at removing Hamas from power.
The militias operate in areas under Israeli control, behind the yellow line. The leader of one militia, Hossam al Asatl, said in an interview with Sky News from his base in the south of the Gaza Strip: “We have an official project – me along with (Yasser) Abu Shabab, (Rami) Helles and (Ashraf) al Mansi. We are all with the ‘new Gaza’. Soon we will achieve full control of the Strip and unite under one umbrella.”
