Palestinian factions warn against gangs accused of collaborating with Israeli occupation

Palestinian resistance factions have warned of the “criminal role” of gangs accused of collaborating with the Israeli occupation, saying such groups operate outside national values and societal norms.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the factions said these groups are exploiting the current conditions to attack civilians, describing their actions as criminal and widely rejected by Palestinian society.

They accused the Israeli side of using such gangs as field tools to target civilians and undermine the social and national fabric in Gaza, with the aim of spreading instability.

The factions stressed that public unity and awareness remain key to confronting such threats, warning that any tolerance toward these groups would weaken the broader societal front.

They called on residents of the Gaza Strip to report any information or movements linked to suspected collaborators, urging collective responsibility in protecting internal security.

The statement also praised the role of families, clans and local security services in confronting these groups and maintaining stability, despite what it described as ongoing targeting by Israeli forces.

The factions urged individuals involved in such activities to reconsider their actions, saying that returning to the national fold remains possible, while warning against continued involvement.

According to the statement, several groups accused of collaboration are located in eastern areas of the Gaza Strip, including areas near Rafah, Khan Younis, Gaza City and the northern part of the enclave.
