Bahrain said Sunday that air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 174 missiles and 391 drones targeting the kingdom since the start of Iranian attacks on Feb. 28, Anadolu reports.

In a statement, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said its air defense systems continue to confront successive waves of what it described as “terrorist Iranian attacks.”

No details were given about casualties or damage.

The entire region has been on alert since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, so far killing over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
