Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, on Wednesday, Israel supports US President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend attacks on Iran for two-weeks, adding that the ceasefire does not include Lebanon.

Netanyahu said Israel backs the pause in strikes on condition that Iran reopens key maritime straits and halts its attacks.

Earlier, a senior White House official told CNN that Israel is a party to the two-week ceasefire announced by Trump.

The official added that Israel has also agreed to suspend its air campaign while negotiations continue.

Previously, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a post on X that “the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere, including Lebanon and other areas, effective immediately.”
