The Palestinian group Hamas warned on Thursday that the Gaza ceasefire agreement was at risk of collapse, and called on the US administration and guarantor countries to take “serious and urgent” steps to force Israel to comply with the deal.

In a statement, Hamas urged the US administration to announce a clear position “condemning the Israel’s violations”, pointing to an escalation in Israeli air strikes that it said had killed 20 Palestinians over the past 48 hours.

The statement said the ceasefire agreement was “facing the risk of collapse as a result of the Israeli occupation’s crimes and its ongoing brutal violations”.

An Israeli air strike targeting a residential flat on Wednesday evening killed 10 Palestinians, including two children and two women, and wounded dozens of civilians.

Hamas described the strike as “a new crime and a renewed and blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm El Sheikh October 2025.”

The strike killed Imad Aslim, known as Abu Hassan, the deputy commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza City.

The United Nations expressed concern over Israel’s killing of Palestinians in areas near the Yellow Line.
