Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf said on Wednesday that the United States had committed serious violations of its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran.

In a post on X, Ghalibaf said the violations included what he described as: “violating Iranian adjustments in the Strait of Hormuz, persistent threats of further strikes, reinstating oil sanctions, attacks on southern Iran, continued Zionist aggression on Lebanon.”

“The era of bullying and extortion is over. It leads nowhere. We don’t fold, he wrote.

His remarks came after the US military launched a new wave of attacks on Iran on Tuesday. Washington also revoked a licence that had allowed Tehran to sell oil after three tankers came under projectile attack in the Strait of Hormuz, which added pressure to an already fragile ceasefire.
