150 Sudanese return home from Uganda under voluntary return program

A plane carrying 150 Sudanese who had sought refuge in Uganda arrived in Sudan’s capital Khartoum under a voluntary return program.
The flight was the 14th organized as part of the voluntary return program for Sudanese in Uganda, Anadolu reports.

The returnees received their tickets and travel documents at the Sudan Friendship School in Kampala before departing from Entebbe International Airport for Khartoum.

The voluntary returns from Uganda began in February 2026, with the first flight carrying 150 people to Port Sudan. With the latest flight, the number of organized return journeys under the program reached 14.
