The Israeli army demolished a home housing two Palestinian families near Hebron in the occupied West Bank on Monday, leaving both families homeless, Anadolu reports.

Heavy machinery tore down the building in Khallet al-Deirat as Israeli soldiers stood nearby and Palestinians watched.

Homeowner Faris Mohammed said Israeli forces arrived in the morning and began demolishing the property on the grounds that it lacked a building permit. He said the 130-square-meter home consisted of two sections occupied by two families.

“They demolished in 25 minutes the house we spent years building,” Mohammed said.

The property was in Area C of the West Bank.

Mohammed said Palestinians were denied building permits despite having lived in the area for years, adding that his family would remain on their land.

Israel carried out 341 demolition operations involving 740 Palestinian structures in the first half of 2026 and issued 254 demolition notices, according to official Palestinian figures.

Since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, the Israeli army and occupiers have intensified attacks in the West Bank, involving killings, arrests, displacement, home demolitions, land leveling and illegal settlement expansion.
