Hamas on Tuesday criticized the Peace Council and its representative, Nickolay Mladenov, over what it described as their silence regarding Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said in a post on Facebook that the council and Mladenov had failed to accuse Israel of violating the agreement.
“The silence of the so-called Peace Council and its representative, Mladenov, regarding the occupation’s crimes—and their failure to accuse it of violating the agreement—means that Mladenov’s hands are stained with the blood of our children and women,” Qassem said.
